Is my project eligible for funding?
For your project to be eligible for funding it must fulfil a number of basic criteria. Your project must:
- Fit into one of the key actions described in the Work Programme. Proposers may submit proposals addressing one or more target areas of the same or of different key actions.
- Meet the requirements set out in the Call for the minimum number of participants. This will be detailed in the Call text and if you need to search for partners the Managenergy website offers a partner search facility.
- Be committed to removing the market barriers to the increased use of energy efficiency/renewable energy sources.
- Have a significant impact at the European Level.
- Be innovative and build on existing knowledge.
Who can participate?
Only organisations established in one of the 27 EU Member States, Croatia, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein are currently eligible to participate.
What are the current calls for proposals?
Applications for funding must be made in response to a Call for Proposals. These are published in the Official Journal of the European Communities and on the Commission website for Intelligent Energy Europe. Information on the Calls can be located by clicking here.
How do I apply?
Once you have located the area of the work programme that your project falls under, you are ready to begin the process of preparing and submitting your proposal. See the Writing the Proposal section for some top tips on writing a proposal.
To submit your proposal you need to complete the application forms. These are available at the Call Library area of the Intelligent Energy Europe website when the calls for proposals are open. Further details on how to apply can be found in the relevant Call text.
Pre-preparation and submission assistance
Before you submit your proposal the Energie Helpline UK offers a proposal review service. We will independently evaluate how well your proposal addresses the objectives of the Commission Work Programme and provide recommendations on how best to improve it.
